Believers from Calvary Chapel seek to prayerfully and effectively work with each other (and with other like-minded Christians) to encourage, develop, and facilitate God's desire for us to

1. Fulfill the "Great Commission" of going into all the world to preach the gospel.
Matthew 28:19-20: "'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen."

2. See unbelievers saved and then nurtured and discipled in the Word.
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Acts 1:8: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Romans 10:13-15: "For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.' How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!'"

3. Minister to the totality of human need as motivated by Christ's love.
Matthew 22:37-39: "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'";
see also Matthew 25:31-46.
